This page lists where our information comes from. We use public government records, a delayed price feed, and public news links. We credit each source below. They feed World Watch, the free Sunday setup email and the rest of the site.

Prices: Yahoo Finance (delayed), interim
Prices are for information only. They may differ from a stock exchange's own official price at the same moment. Book returns shown on the site are worked out from end of day closing prices.
We read company and insider filings straight from the SEC's EDGAR system. We read new federal rules from the Federal Register. For trades by members of Congress we use a public copy of the House and Senate disclosures, and we check the House Clerk's own files when that copy is late.
Some news links are found through the GDELT Project (gdeltproject.org).
Most news links come straight from each outlet's own public feed. We write each summary line ourselves.
Yahoo Finance, the Federal Reserve, the New York Fed and the EIA headlines may appear on our site exactly as published. We give credit and a link back to the source.
